Okay, so I got this idea to try and make something with “rose geraldine.” It’s a type of rose, you know? I saw some pictures online, and I thought, “Why not?” I’m not a pro or anything, just wanted to see what I could do.
Getting Started
First, I needed to get my hands on some of these roses. I went to a few flower shops, and finally found them. They were kinda pink, kinda peach, looked pretty cool. I also picked up some other flowers that I thought might go well – you know, some greenery, some white stuff, just to make it look fuller.
Putting it Together
I got home and started to arrange them. I put the rose geraldine in the center, ’cause they’re the main thing, right? Then, I started adding the other flowers around them. I tried to balance the colors and shapes, moving things around until it looked kinda nice. It was a bit of trial and error, not gonna lie. Some leaves looked out of place, some flowers were too tall, it was a bit of a mess at first.
Experimenting
I remembered seeing something about using different colors together online. So, I grabbed some pink lilies and these things called alstroemeria that were also light pink. I added them in, and they looked pretty good with the roses. I also found some lavender flowers, the color was a nice change, and I tucked them in here and there.
- Adding the flowers: I put the roses in the middle and the other flowers around it.
- Experimenting with colors: I used some pink and lavender flowers to make it look more interesting.
- Figuring out the shape: I moved the flowers around until they looked balanced and not too crowded.
Almost There
After a while, it started to look like a proper bouquet. I trimmed some stems, added some water to the vase, and stepped back to look at it. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, I made it! It was a fun little project, and it actually looked pretty good on my table. I also tried to make a wine with some of the rose petals, it said online that it’s possible. It’s a pink-orange color, I haven’t tried it yet, but it smells like rose and cranberry, pretty weird.
Final Thoughts
I don’t know if I’ll do this again soon, it took a while. It was a cool experience, though. Maybe next time, I’ll try a different type of flower, or maybe even make it into a wine, who knows? It’s all about trying new things, right?
Oh, and there was also this one thing I read online about these preserved roses that last a long time. They are supposed to replace a lot of regular roses. I might look into that, could be interesting.
